Business Technology Management is an interdisciplinary program that combines business, applied IT, management, and communication skills to manage and automate information flows within and across organizations. Emphasizing project-based learning, program foundations include business cloud computing, data analytics, digital marketing, entrepreneurship, customer relationship management & supervision. The program offers several short-term certificates and degree options in these areas while preparing students for employment in a wide range of industry specialties requiring these skills.

The AAS-T option allows students a pathway to receiving a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree from several disciplines including accounting, business, international business, property management, building science and others.

Covers applied business statistics, invoices, trade and cash discounts, markups and markdowns, payroll, depreciation, compound interest and solving equations. Includes use of spreadsheet software to analyze business data.

Further develops business English grammar, punctuation, and word usage skills to compose effective, complex business documents. Develops research, business report writing, and documenting skills. Includes practice of techniques and strategies for effective oral presentations. Covers planning, facilitating, and documenting business meetings.

Examination of manual and digital record management systems currently used in industry. Introduction and application of the following filing/management systems: Alphabetic (as established by ARMA International), geographic, numeric, and subject. Access 2016 will be used to design, create, maintain, update, and integrate an electronic filing system.
